鸡翎草，中药名。为豆科棘豆属植物多叶棘豆 Oxytropis myriophylla（Pall.）DC.【 Phaca myriophylla Pall.】的全草。具有清热解毒，消肿，祛风湿，止血的功效。主治流感，咽喉肿痛，痈疮肿毒，创伤，瘀血肿胀，各种出血。
Ji-ling-cao, name of Chinese Medicinal Material. the whole herb of Oxytropis myriophylla (Pall.) DC. [Phaca myriophylla Pall.], a plant of the legume family, is known for its effects of clearing heat, detoxifying, reducing swelling, dispelling wind and dampness, and stopping bleeding. It is used to treat influenza, sore throat, carbuncles, swelling and toxicity, wounds, hematoma, and various types of bleeding.

用法用量 Dosage and Administration

内服：研末为散，2.4-3g；或煎汤，6-9g。外用：研末敷或煎水洗。
Internal use: grind into powder, 2.4–3g; or decoct in water, 6–9g. External use: apply powdered herb topically or use as a wash after decoction.

化学成分 Chemical Composition

含山奈酚-3-O-[β-L-吡喃鼠李糖基（1→6）-β-D-吡喃葡萄糖基]-7-O-α-L-吡喃鼠李糖苷。花含三种黄酮苷：乙酰狐尾藻苷，狐尾藻苷和香豆酰异狐尾藻苷。
Contains kaempferol-3-O-[β-L-rhamnopyranosyl-(1→6)-β-D-glucopyranosyl]-7-O-α-L-rhamnopyranoside. The flowers contain three flavonoid glycosides: acetylmyricetin, myricetin, and coumaroyl-isomyricetin.

临床应用 Clinical Applications

1. 治咽喉肿痛：瞿麦、草乌叶、鸡翎草各等分。共为细末。每服八分至一钱，水煎，连渣温服或开水送服，每日二次。
   2. 治充血性肿胀：鸡翎草适量，煎汤洗患处。
2. Treatment for sore throat: equal parts of Qu Mai, Cao Wu Ye, and Ji Ling Cao. Grind them into a fine powder. Take eight fen to one qian per dose, decoct in water, drink the warm liquid with dregs or swallow with boiled water, twice daily.
   2. Treatment for congestive swelling: an appropriate amount of Ji Ling Cao, decoct in water and wash the affected area.

加工炮制 Processing and Preparation

采收加工：夏、秋采挖，晒干。
Harvesting and processing: collect in summer and autumn, then sun-dry.

药材鉴别 Medicinal Material Identification

药材性状：皱缩成团，全株密被长柔毛。主根粗壮，长6-10cm，有分枝。湿润展平后，羽状复叶丛生在根茎上，长10-20cm，小叶对生或数片轮生，25-30轮；小叶片线形或披针形，长3-10mm，宽0.5-1mm。总状花序，花排列紧密，淡紫色，总花梗长于叶。荚果椭圆形，长约15mm，宽约5mm，被长柔毛，先端具10mm长的喙。气微，味微苦、甘。
Characteristics of medicinal material: shriveled into a cluster, the whole plant densely covered with long soft hairs. The main root is thick and stout, 6–10cm long, with branches. After moistening and spreading out, pinnate compound leaves grow from the rhizome, 10–20cm long, with leaflets opposite or in several whorls (25–30 whorls); leaflets are linear or lanceolate, 3–10mm long, 0.5–1mm wide. Racemose inflorescence with closely arranged pale purple flowers; the peduncle is longer than the leaves. The pod is elliptical, about 15mm long and 5mm wide, covered with long soft hairs, with a 10mm beak at the apex. Slight odor, slightly bitter and sweet taste.
