内服：煎汤，3-10g；或研末。外用：适量，煎水熏洗。

药材性状：叶片皱缩破碎，完整者展平后呈椭圆形、椭圆状矩圆形或披针状矩圆形，长7-8.5cm，宽2.0-3.7cm，上面黄绿色或棕绿色，下部叶脉突起，革质。气微，味辛。
Characteristics of the medicinal material: The leaves are wrinkled and broken, and when intact, they are elliptical, elliptic-rectangular, or lanceolate-rectangular after being flattened, 7-8.5cm long and 2.0-3.7cm wide. The upper side is yellow-green or brownish-green, with raised veins on the lower part, and leathery in texture. They have a slight aroma and a spicy taste.

灌木或小乔木，树皮红褐色；枝密被鳞片状被盖物，老时秃净。叶互生，近革质，卵状长圆形至长圆状披针形，长5-13cm，宽2-5cm，先端渐尖，基部楔形，全缘，幼时两面均被星状茸毛，老时上面秃净，下面被灰色茸毛；叶柄长约1cm，有褐红色茸毛。总状花序腋生或顶生，长3-7cm，被褐色星状茸毛；花长约1cm；萼杯状，长和宽相等，截头形；花冠白色，裂片5，狭长圆形；雄蕊10，着生于花冠管基部，花药线形；子房上位，基部3室。核果近球形，长约1cm，钝头，被茸毛。花期3-4月。果期9-10月。
Shrubs or small trees with reddish-brown bark; branches densely covered with scale-like coverings, becoming bare in old age. Leaves alternate, nearly leathery, ovate-oblong to oblong-lanceolate, 5-13cm long, 2-5cm wide, gradually tapering at the tip, wedge-shaped at the base, entire margin, covered with star-shaped hairs on both sides when young, becoming bare on the upper surface and gray hairy on the lower surface when old; petiole about 1cm long, with reddish-brown hairs. Racemes axillary or terminal, 3-7cm long, covered with brown star-shaped hairs; flowers about 1cm long; calyx cup-shaped, as long as wide, truncate; corolla white, with 5 narrow elliptic lobes; stamens 10, attached at the base of the corolla tube, anthers linear; ovary superior, 3-loculed at the base. Fruit nearly globose, about 1cm long, obtuse, hairy. Flowering period is March to April. Fruiting period is September to October.
