金狗脊黄毛，中药名。为蚌壳蕨科植物金毛狗Cibotium barometz（L.）J.Sm.根茎上的细柔毛。具有收敛止血、生肌敛疮的功效。主治肌肤金创疮疡出血、刀刃创伤，水火烫伤之创面不愈，或疮痈溃疡不敛、湿疹流水。
Jin-gou-ji-huang-mao, name of Chinese Medicinal Material. efers to the fine soft hairs on the rhizomes of the Cibotium barometz (L.) J.Sm., a plant in the Dicksoniaceae family. It has the functions of astringing to stop bleeding and promoting tissue regeneration. It is used to treat bleeding wounds, cuts, burns, non-healing wounds, ulcers, and eczema on the skin.

外用：研末撒敷。

药理作用 Pharmacological Effects

经118次犬、兔实验证明，对于疤痕组织、肝脏、脏器的损伤性出血有肯定的止血作用。止血原理是物理作用的结果。粉的止血效果最好。纯洁的粉撒布创面，异物反应与明胶海绵相似而较轻，看来也能被组织逐渐吸收而消失。
Through 118 experiments on dogs and rabbits, it has been confirmed that the powder has a definite hemostatic effect on hemorrhage from scar tissue, liver, and visceral injuries. The hemostatic mechanism is due to physical action. The powdered form has the best hemostatic effect. When pure powder is applied to wounds, the foreign body reaction is similar to that of gelatin sponge but milder, and it appears to be gradually absorbed and eliminated by the tissue.

多年生树蕨，高达2.5-3m。根茎平卧，有时转为直立，短而粗壮，带木质，密被棕黄色带有金色光泽的长柔毛。叶多数，丛生成冠状，大形；叶柄粗壮，褐色，基部密被金黄色长柔毛和黄色狭长披针形鳞片；叶片卵圆形，长可达2m，3回羽状分裂；下部羽片卵状披针形，长30-60cm，宽15-30cm，上部羽片逐渐短小，至顶部呈狭羽尾状；小羽片线状披针形，渐尖，羽状深裂至全裂，裂片密接，狭矩圆形或近于镰刀形，长0.5-1cm，宽2-4mm；亚革质，上面暗绿色，下面粉灰色，叶脉开放，不分枝。孢子囊群着生于边缘的侧脉顶上，略成矩圆形，每裂片上2-12枚，囊群盖侧裂呈双唇状，棕褐色。
Perennial tree fern, up to 2.5–3 meters tall. Rhizome prostrate, sometimes becoming erect, short and stout, woody, densely covered with brownish-yellow long hairs with golden luster. Numerous large leaves grow in a crown-like cluster; petioles are stout, brown, densely covered at the base with golden long soft hairs and yellow lanceolate scales; blade is ovate, up to 2 meters long, tripinnately compound; lower pinnae are ovate-lanceolate, 30–60 cm long, 15–30 cm wide, upper ones gradually smaller, tapering to a narrow tail at the apex; pinnules are linear-lanceolate, acuminate, deeply to fully pinnatifid, lobes closely spaced, narrowly rectangular or nearly sickle-shaped, 0.5–1 cm long, 2–4 mm wide; subcoriaceous, dark green above, powdery gray beneath, veins free, unbranched. Sori borne on terminal ends of lateral veins near the margin, slightly rectangular, 2–12 per lobe; indusia laterally split into a bilabiate (two-lipped) structure, brownish.

Grows on acidic soil along mountain stream banks and in shady areas under forest canopy.
