Leaves basal or on stem; leaf cushion at the top of the petiole cylindrical, 5-10mm long, petiole base sheathing; leaf blade ovate-oblong or ovate-lanceolate, 10-20cm long, 4-10cm wide, gradually pointed at the apex, rounded at the base, glabrous or thinly covered with long soft hairs on the back. Inflorescence terminal, 10-20cm long; flowers white, pedicel about 1cm long; sepals ovate-lanceolate, 1.2-1.4cm long; corolla tube about the same length as the sepals, enlarged at the base, with 3 lobes, 8-10cm long; 2 degenerate stamens of the outer whorl are oblong and petal-like, 8-10mm long, with a concave apex, only half as long as the inner whorl; ovary glabrous or slightly covered with long soft hairs. Fruit brown, oblong, about 7mm long. Flowering period is in summer and autumn.
