椭圆悬钩子又名黄泡、老虎泡、老虎藨、切头悬钩子、黄喜马莓。半匍匐状灌木，高1-3m。小枝粗壮，平展，先端曲垂，有不明显的棱，密生红棕色弯曲长毛，刺粗壮有钩。小叶3片，叶柄长2-7cm，顶生小叶柄长2-3cm，均被紫红色刺毛，柔毛和小皮刺；托叶线形；叶片阔倒卵形，长5-10cm，宽3-6cm，顶生小叶比侧生者大得多，先端圆切或稍凹，基部楔形，边缘具不整齐的锯齿，上面深绿，下面有棕色毛。短总状花序顶生或腋生；小花梗极短；花径8-12mm；萼片5，卵圆形，先端短尖，外面密被黄灰色绒毛，花瓣5，倒卵形，较萼片为大，白色；雄蕊1轮；心皮有细伏毛，成熟心皮多数。聚合果球形，直径约1cm，金黄色，有多数具皱纹的小核果。花期3-4月，果期4-5月。分布区域
