采收加工：4-5月采嫩枝叶，鲜用或切断晒干。秋、冬季采根，鲜用或切片晒干。

形态特征 Morphological Characteristics

异叶鼠李，灌木，高1.5-2m。枝无刺，多分枝，小枝细长，被密短柔毛。叶互生；叶柄长2-7mm，有短柔毛；托叶小，钻形或线形，宿存；叶片纸质，大小异形，小叶近圆形或卵圆形，长0.5-1.5cm，先端圆形或钝；大叶长圆形，卵状椭圆形或卵状长圆形，长1.5-4.5cm，宽1-2.2cm，先端锐尖或短渐尖，具小尖头，基部楔形或圆形，边缘具细锯齿，上面淡绿色，下面中脉被簇毛。花单性，雌雄异株，单生或2-3朵簇生于叶腋，黄绿色，花萼5裂，裂片外面被疏柔毛；雄花花瓣5，匙形，先端微凹，具退化雌蕊，子房不发育，花柱3半裂；雌花花瓣小，2浅裂，早落，子房球形，3室，花柱短，3半裂。核果球形，基部有宿存的萼筒，成熟时黑色，具3分核。种子背面具纵沟，卵形。花期5-8月，果期9-12月。
Rhamnus heterophylla is a shrub, 1.5-2m tall. The branches are thornless, highly branched, with slender twigs covered in dense short soft hairs. The leaves are alternate; petioles are 2-7mm long, with short soft hairs; stipules are small, drill-shaped or linear, persistent; leaf blades are papery, varying in size and shape: smaller leaves nearly circular or ovate, 0.5-1.5cm long, with rounded or obtuse tips; larger leaves oblong, ovate-elliptic, or ovate-oblong, 1.5-4.5cm long, 1-2.2cm wide, with acute or shortly acuminate tips, tipped with a small point, cuneate or rounded bases, finely serrated margins, pale green upper surfaces, and clustered hairs along the midrib on the lower surfaces. Flowers are unisexual and dioecious, solitary or in clusters of 2–3 in leaf axils, yellow-green; calyx 5-lobed, with sparsely soft hairs on the outside; male flowers have 5 spoon-shaped petals, slightly concave at the tip, with a rudimentary pistil, undeveloped ovary, and 3-parted style; female flowers have small petals, shallowly 2-lobed, early deciduous, spherical ovary with 3 chambers, short style, and 3-parted stigma. The fruit is spherical, with persistent calyx tube at the base, turning black when mature, containing 3 pyrenes. Seeds are egg-shaped, with a longitudinal groove on the back. Flowering period is May to August; fruiting period is September to December.
