形态特征 Morphological Characteristics
短柄枹栎,又名短柄枹树。落叶乔木,高达10m,或呈灌木状。幼枝被疏柔毛,后渐脱落。叶互生;叶柄长2-4mm,无毛;叶片革质,生于枝顶端,长椭圆状倒卵形或倒卵状披针形,长5-10cm,宽2-4cm,先端急尖或渐尖,基部窄圆形,具内弯浅腺齿,幼时有丝质毛,老叶无毛,侧脉7-12对,直达齿端,齿端具腺体。花雌雄同株;雄花序长5-6cm,轴及花被均被疏毛;雌花序不及1cm。壳斗杯形,包坚果约1/3,小苞片卵状三角形,在口部伸出,边缘有柔毛,直径1-1.2cm,高约8mm;坚果卵状椭圆形,直径0.8-1.2cm,高1.2-1.8cm,先端被柔毛,柱座短,果脐略隆起。花期4月,果期10月。
The short-handle oak, also known as the short-handle oak tree, is a deciduous tree that can grow up to 10 meters tall or take on a shrub-like appearance. The young branches are sparsely covered with soft hairs, which gradually fall off. The leaves are alternate; the petiole is 2-4 mm long and hairless; the leaf blade is leathery, located at the top of the branch, oblong-ovate or oblong-lanceolate, 5–10 cm long and 2–4 cm wide, with an acute or gradually pointed apex, a narrow rounded base, shallow inward-curved glandular teeth, silky hairs when young, and hairless when old, with 7–12 pairs of lateral veins reaching the teeth, each tooth apex bearing a gland. The plant is monoecious; the male inflorescence is 5–6 cm long, with both axis and perianth sparsely hairy; the female inflorescence is less than 1 cm. The cupule is saucer-shaped, enclosing about one-third of the nut, with small ovate-triangular bracts extending from the rim, ciliate margins, 1–1.2 cm in diameter and about 8 mm high; the nut is ovoid-ellipsoid, 0.8–1.2 cm in diameter and 1.2–1.8 cm in height, apically pubescent, with a short stipe and slightly raised hilum. Flowering occurs in April, fruiting in October.
